If you are coming from Skopje on the A1/E75 highway, turn off at the Sopot toll exit, towards Lake Mladost, turn left before the underpass. If you are coming from Gevgelija on the A1/E75 highway, turn off at the exit in front of the Otovica toll road, towards Lake Mladost, go around the lake to Hotel Romantic, where you continue to the left towards the Skopje-Veles highway, cross an underpass and immediately turn right. If you are coming from Veles via regional road R1102, pass by Lake Mladost, to Hotel Romantik, where you continue to the left towards the Skopje-Veles highway, cross an underpass and immediately turn right
The vineyards of Chateau Sopot form a special climate in altitude, exposure, soil composition, climate, wind. The vineyards are between 210 (south) and 260 (north) meters above sea level. The soil composition of different microlocations ranges from vertisol to redstone. There are about 270 sunny days per year. The average temperature is 12.5°C, and significant day-night temperature differences. The Povardarets or Vardarets wind blows along the valley of the Vardar River, from the north of the Shar Mountain to the south of Thessaloniki and the warm Aegean Sea. He has the character of a maestro. Vardarec is mostly a winter wind and its average speed is about 21.6 km/h. The vineyards stretch over 94 hectares, which include Chardonnay, Thyme, Rhine Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The harvest starts depending on the climatic conditions from mid-August to the beginning of September with Chardonnay, and ends in the first half of October with Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvesting begins at dawn and ends around noon, before the highest temperatures. As the picking is done by hand, the length of the picking depends on the number of hired pickers.

Harvesting in Chateau Sopot is done by hand, and for optimal harvesting, about 50 pickers are needed. The varieties and vineyards of Chateau Sopot are of limited vintage. One picker can collect up to 300 kilograms of grapes per day, which depends on the crop, weather conditions, etc.
Sometimes it’s still or sparkling, sometimes it’s white or rose or red, sometimes it’s dry or sweet, young or aged. The best wine is the wine that best suits your needs, expectations, mood, company, as well as the food with which the wine is paired.
